Transition Anyone?

Writer's picture: Heather BradleyHeather Bradley

Has anyone else noticed that many people are in the process of big changes lately? I know so many people that are. Several prophetic voices I have followed for years have been speaking on transition too. That tells me its not just a few of us, but many of God's children. The thing I have been wondering is why so much transition across the body of Christ? It's a huge shift. God is up to something and all I know is we better lean in and pay attention. He is removing old seasons -the old wine and bringing us into new seasons-new wine. He is calling us all into something more and I pray we don't miss it by trying to hold on to what was.

I felt the nudging that change was coming for us for about a year ago now. God is good to prepare our hearts for what we are letting go of -so it doesn't take us by surprise! I stepped back from working at my church, my mom and beloved German Shepherd passed this year-that was all a huge adjustment. Good things came too-my first Grand-baby was born and I just launched my first book. However, the transition I never saw coming was God moving us out of town-away from family, friends, and my church. He prepared our hearts before the opportunity even came. I'm thankful we will only be 3 1/2 hours away from home-I can still easily see my family and friends. My husband was given an amazing opportunity at a new company-God was leading us there for sure. Little did I know that I would be working along side him. I start my new job September 1!

I'm officially entering into a very new season for me. I'll be working at an RV Park that services the students attending the RV Trade school that my husband is the COO at. The cool thing is I have to live on property so that means I'll finally get the RV I always wanted. This is a fun, new adventure for us-our kids are grown and it's just us. I'm excited for the new ministry opportunities that will be available where I will be working too. To gather people for bible studies at the park and worship Jesus together!

If you find yourself at a fork in the road in this season and feel the Lord pushing you to take a leap of faith-I want to encourage you to go all in. We can't see what's coming in the future but we can trust Him where He is leading us. I believe He is setting up His children right now -positioning us to be the church in a time of upheaval. So, if you feel Him leading you somewhere new or to do something different-trust Him-He sees what we can't! He will uniquely position each of us to be of service to Him where He sees fit-we just have to obey, trust and step out in faith!

In Him,

Heather Bradley
