Hi, I’m Heather!

​

I’m the founder of Truth:Freedom Ministry, a Texas girl through and through, with a deep love for Jesus and a heart for women’s ministry. Life has taken me and my family all over the U.S., but for now, I’m grateful to be back home in Texas—serving, growing, and walking in step with what God is doing in this season.

I’ve been married to the love of my life, Kelly, for over 30 years. We’ve been blessed with four incredible children—Nadia (now married to Ryan), Nicolas, Nathan, and our precious son Brennen, who is already with Jesus. We homeschooled our kids, and let’s just say the journey has been full of faith, adventure, and more grace than I can count.

You’ll often find me serving in pastoral care at our local church or pouring into women through ministry. I have a deep love for the local church, and one of my favorite seasons was being part of a church plant—it stretched me and strengthened my faith in ways I didn’t expect. Currently, I'm serving alongside my husband on the board of a new church plant. I'm also working alongside my husband at the NRVTA-which is a school for RV Techs. I studied education during college and graduated from UTEP with my Bachelors degree. I later graduated a Bible school and was honored to be ordained in pastoral ministry.

I’m also a first-time Gigi (yes, I’m a grandma!), and my heart could not be more full. In my downtime, I’m usually tending to my garden, reading a good book, trying out a new recipe, exploring new places or having coffee with someone who needs a listening ear.

I co-host a podcast called Leaving the Shallows with my dear friend, where we talk about diving deeper into our walks with Jesus and leaving behind the surface-level stuff. You can find it on all major podcast platforms and on YouTube.

But at the end of the day, I’m really just a girl in love with Jesus—learning, growing, and walking this journey out one step at a time.
